Our Amish made plum jam is a very traditional flavor of jam.
The Damson plum is a very old variety of plum that was believed to be cultivated in and around Damascus. It was taken to England (then known as Britannia) by the Romans
and from there it came to the United States. It was established in the colonies early in our country's history and has thrived there ever since. Today it is one of the most popular plums for
making jams and jellies.
Cooked and sweetened to perfection this jam is sweet and delicious.
